Plain-text captions, up to 1,000 cues. Styling and speaker markup are removed.
Fix a constant delay in one step.
If every caption appears half a second late, enter -0.5 under “Shift every cue.” If captions appear too early, use a positive value. Check the beginning, middle, and end against the spoken audio before downloading. A constant offset will not fix drift that grows over time; adjust individual cues or correct the source frame-rate conversion.
Review the words as well as the timing.
Give each cue enough time to read, break long thoughts into short phrases, and check names, punctuation, and important sounds. Preview overlapping cues carefully. The preview uses your browser’s caption styling; the destination video player may render them differently.
This editor changes a separate subtitle track. It does not transcribe speech, translate, or burn captions into your video. Download the SRT or VTT and import it into your publishing platform or editor. The original video file stays unchanged.
